Watercolor Portrait of Baby Girl Completed
Labels: baby, demo, watercolor, watercolor portrait
My portfolio consists of highly realistic interpretations of the model. Although I focus on realism, my goal is not to imitate the reference material used but to obtain a truthful and accurate depiction of the subject. A strong likeness happens naturally during the drawing process. My portfolio mainly consists of custom commission graphite portraits drawn from my client's family photos of a favorite pet, baby, child or wedding portrait.

this tuned out to be a resounding success! i like the warmth you brought back to her. i have patience issues myself. that's why i have a blow dryer handy at all times. haha
thanks Billie :) yes I am quite happy with the results and it was really fun to paint, which was a surprise as learning a new technique can be pretty frustrating usually ;) I have started on my second attempt of this one and will post an update soon :)
