Watercolor Portrait of Baby - wip2
I have added many layers of alternating warm and cool colors to try to achieve a realistic skin tone. The background has been loosely established to better judge the skin tones. She looks a little too red right now, hopefully that will all balance out in the end!

i'm watching your portrait wip with much interest! i haven't seen too many watercolorists that use grisailles. very striking results so far.:)
Thanks Billie :) I am really enjoying using the grisaille as it so similar to the way that I draw so I feel like I have a good idea of where I am going with the painting :) Will see how it all ends up soon enough!
