Federation of Canadian Artists has accepted my application for Active Status

I am very happy to announce that the Federation of Canadian Artists jurors have accepted my application for Active Status. The Federation of Canadian Artists is a non-profit organization which is dedicated to the promotion and professional development of artists. They hold many exhibits and competitions throughout the year as well as maintain an art gallery for the members on Granville Island in downtown Vancouver.

Family Portrait Commission

My client decided to add a couple additions to the portrait to make the portrait more personalized for her friend. She added the cross to the mother's lapel as they have a very strong faith and she wanted to emphasize this in the portrait. After many attempts to try to add the cross in without drawing too much attention, we decided to place it on his mother's lapel...the obvious choice in the end! Funny how things just find their place :)
